SFR Foundation has developed a model to increase access to clean drinking water in remote areas through creating a ‘Clean Water Distribution Network’.
The model would require a new ‘headquartered’ RO Plant to be used as the network’s main source of clean water. The water would then be transported through water tankers to ‘water collection points’ across multiple remote targeted regions, each equipped with a mini water-storing facility. The management at the water collection points would then facilitate the distribution of water to the nearby villagers.
SFR Foundation plans to initiate a fundraiser to collect the funds required for the RO Plant (circa 1.5 Million PKR). The pilot is projected to be in District Badin before scaling it to other Districts of Sindh.
SFR Foundation will release more details on the project as the plan matures.
